Mottisfont AbbeyABBEY Another commission for the National Trust, this time in 2007, when I painted a trompe l'oeil ‘Aubusson’ carpet in situ at the ravishing estate in Hampshire, famous for its rose garden. I tried to recreate the real Aubusson that had been in place in the early 20th century from old pictures in a Country Life article, and I incorporated roses into the design of course!Share:
