PreviousA group show in St Martin’s Gallery in Trafalgar Square in 2004 had as a theme ‘the Body’. I used hair for prints and also Edweard Muybridge’s photographs to create silkscreens with which I printed with emulsion on raw plaster. The screens were then turned into light panels. In 2005 I had my first one-woman show at the 12 Star Gallery. It was called CHAOS TO ORDER and it’s main piece was an installation called ‘The Journey’ which featured 24 white dinner plates that had been broken – sometimes into a hundred pieces- and reassembled. The show also exhibited a London door which I had stolen with an accomplice in an escapade dressed up as a council worker, and replacing it with another one… but that is another story. An obsession with the beauty of the found and accidental- and again, the spirit of ARTE POVERA.Share:
